General Information

Project objective:

The main objective of the project is higher education cooperation between EU and ENPI countries, ensuring the necessary framework for academic mobility of bachelor / master / doctoral / postdoctoral students, as well as of that of teaching and administrative staff. IANUS project aims to promote intercultural cooperation and to help improve student’s career prospects, thus contributing to the development of higher education cooperation and to the improvement of human resources in the countries involved.

Brief description:

The duration of the project is of 48 months and the total number of foreseen mobilities is 280 (degree-seeking for Lot 5 Master students and non-degree seeking scholarships for all study levels and types of mobility). Following criteria mentioned in the Guidelines to the Call, TG1 mobility represents 80%, whereas Lot 5 student and staff mobility stands for 82% of the total number of mobilities covered by the project. Undergraduate mobility represents 25% of the total number, 25% of the mobilities are master, 25% doctorate, 10% post-doctorate, while staff mobility is 15%. The project as a whole is focused on all accredited fields of study that are offered by partner universities.

In order to ensure cost and work effectiveness in achieving the proposed results and objectives and in order to prevent candidates being discouraged by a rather small number of mobilities for each call for applications, the partners agreed to consider two cohorts, in the first two years of the project.

The distribution of tasks and responsibilties among the partners will be balanced. Each EU partner will receive an average of 25 mobility beneficiaries and each Lot 5 partner will receive an average of 5 students and staff.  Each university will participate in the selection process and each partner will have a vote in the Management Team. Moreover, each HEI will have one representative in either the Selection Committee or the Monitoring and Quality Assurance Committee; membership composition of these three management and executive structures will be voted during the kick-off meeting. All partners, including associate partners, will have a role in promoting and disseminating the project, thus allowing third party students to also benefit from the project mobility scheme.

Joint application, selection and admission is ensured by the online application tool available on the project website and easily accessed by all candidates.

Quality Assurance will be ensured by the Monitoring and Quality Assurance Committee and by an external evaluator, who will monitor the implementation of the project activities and who will deliver a mid-term and a final quality assurance report. Cooperation between the members of the consortium and dissemination of the project results will extend beyond the time limits of the project.
